COMMON SENSE COMMENT GUIDELINES

THE UN-ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RDU page requires a passcode for viewing. Request the code in the RDUTALKS message section, located below on this page, and you will receive the code by email.

This section is dedicated to individuals who want to share their commentary about the subject matter listed on the webpage: THE UN-ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RDU*. You will need the passcode listed below to review this content.

In these days of social media, individuals have a position about something they support or value. If/when you add a contrary belief or counter-argument to a post, a viewer might like what is being expressed or have a negative opinion about what you have expressed.

The concepts below are leveraged for or against another thing based on specific criteria. Although we are taking the time to be formal with this analysis, we hope to shift the responder into the category below. When considered, the viewer (reader, commentator) might respond more clearly or pigeonhole the subject.

Let’s explore one of the concepts below: to pigeonhole someone or something means to decide that they belong to a particular class or category, often without considering all their qualities.

  • For the most part, when we make comments about a person, place, or thing, we do so almost always without a complete understanding of them or their history.
  • Now, please feel free to comment in any order so that the (viewer, reader, or responder) can consider things they may not understand about you or your position.   This brief description should help all of us with how we should express our ideas in the future.

In our detailed coursebook, RaceTalk ™ America Manual, 2nd Edition, we encourage everyone, especially Life Coaches and Consultants, to use Mindful Communication and Sensitivity in discussions.

*The Unacknowledgement of RDU” is RDU2016.

MEET MR. NARRATIVE

You have seen him in public, and he will often tell you what he thinks, whether you want to hear it or not.

We can all learn a lot by just being quiet and non-responsive sometimes; however, you have been given the ground rules, so respond with clarity.
