It addresses broad issues that can affect the health and well-being of individuals, families, communities, populations, and societies—both now, and for generations to come.

An epidemic (from Greek ἐπί epi "upon or above" and δῆμος demos "people") is the rapid spread of infectious disease to a large number of people in a given population within a short period of time, usually two weeks or less.

COURSE WORK

  • These are sample questions that are essential to gauge your understanding of Public Health Issues.
  • Every participant will receive different questions to answer in the narrative, (summary) of the issue about public health.
  • Sanitation and food safety are at the top of the list; however, post-race conditions that include colds, fever, will be included in the question if the registrant is a runner. Sports Science is the field of advanced knowledge and exceeds the notion of public health; yet, the distinction between health, medicine, and kinesiology are intertwined.
  • Imagine giving a TED TALK about your summary. Fifteen minutes, or a 2-1/2 page double-spaced paper. The foundation for developing the Associate Certification Program is a qualifier and places you above others who have not completed this curriculum.
